Visa application

Please read the following information before making any travel plans:

  • Delegates are responsible for ensuring appropriate visas are obtained for attending the conference.
  • Be sure to check the travel restrictions to Egypt on the official government website.
  • Plan ahead and schedule a time to submit your visa application materials several months before your intended departure.
  • You must apply for your visa as soon as you are confident that you will attend MedGU-26 in Cairo.
  • You will need an invitation letter for your visa application. To receive the letter, you must first register and pay online (see Registration).
  • For security reasons, letters of invitation can only be sent to delegates who have registered and paid for the conference.
  • During your stay in Egypt, you are advised to have suitable insurance coverage for emergency medical or other needs.

Accommodation

Please read the following information before booking your accommodation:

  • Please be aware that the registration fee does not cover the accommodation expenses (see Registration).
  • Cairo offers a wide range of accommodation options. We recommend booking early.
  • More details on recommended hotels near the conference venue will be provided soon.
  • Explore various online booking platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia.com, and others to find the best deal for your stay.

Transportation

Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the main gateway to the city. The conference venue in Cairo will be easily accessible by various transportation means.

  • Uber/Careem: Widely available and a convenient way to get around Cairo.
  • Metro: Cairo has an extensive metro system connecting major parts of the city.
  • Taxi: Official white taxis are available. exist.
